Kitchen Herbs and Their Effects

Thyme, parsley, basil – what can go in the enclosure?

🌿 Basic Rule: Always offer herbs fresh or well-dried. Immediately remove wilted or moldy herbs.

✅ Parsley

Very popular, rich in vitamins – in moderation (calcium!)

✅ Thyme

Antibacterial, good for respiratory tracts

✅ Basil

Digestive, antimicrobial

✅ Oregano

Antibacterial, strengthens the immune system

✅ Sage

Anti-inflammatory, good for diarrhea

✅ Dill

Relieves bloating, promotes digestion

⚠️ Parsley with Bladder Problems

Rich in calcium – avoid for animals with bladder sludge

⚠️ Peppermint

OK in small amounts – not too much

❌ Chives

Onion family – toxic to rabbits!

❌ Wild Garlic

Can be confused – better to avoid
