How to properly care for and protect your wooden products – animal-safe, durable, and easy.
🌲 Why wood care is important
Protection against moisture
Regular care protects against moisture, urine, and bacteria and significantly extends the lifespan.
Animal safety is a must
Only use products explicitly certified as animal-safe. Regular hardware store paints are toxic!
When to treat?
Treat new products immediately. Used products: first clean, dry, then treat.
We recommend our Painting Set – specially developed for animal products, animal-safe, and easy to apply. Linseed oil and beeswax are also animal-safe options.
For litter boxes every 3–6 months, for less used products once a year.
No regular wood varnishes, boat paints, or paints from the hardware store – these contain biocides that are toxic to animals!
After treatment, let it dry for at least 24–48 hours before the product is used again.
